Have you written web copy?

What is the expected time of completion for the project?

A good copywriter doesn’t churn out work overnight. Good copywriting takes time; research, brainstorming, revisions, revisions and revisions.  An experienced copywriter knows the markets, consumers, products and services and writes copy that sells as opposed to providing information.

How much do you charge for (web copy, a sales letter, etc.)?
A reputable copywriter will ask you a lot of questions first, including how much research, how many interviews/meetings you expect and may suggest complementary marketing pieces.  Most copywriters offer a "package," with the total fee less than the components priced individually.

Can you turn this around fast? I need it yesterday.
As all of us are (sometimes painfully) aware, deadlines rule.  However, if a copywriter is available immediately, there may be a reason.  Copywriters need to take time to get a feel for the client and the project to consider the best approach.  In order to give the best service to all of my clients, I manage my schedule to meet deadlines and exceed expectations. 

I do understand needing it yesterday.  We can probably work something out, with an added RUSH charge.

Will it cost less if I do it myself, and you 'improve' it?

No.  The project needs to be developed with a marketing perspective from concept to completion. Let the copywriter do her job while you do yours.

Will you write my copy yourself?
Yes, I will write your copy myself.  This may seem like an odd question, but some copywriters actually "farm out" their projects to other copywriters and take a cut of the fee. This isn't necessarily bad, but you do want to know who is actually writing your copy. 

What happens if I want something changed in the copy?
My policy is two reasonable revisions allowed within 30 days after the deadline. If you want bigger changes, or future revisions, expect a change order and additional charges.
